violently at the mouth and spat the words:
Hi all.
I recently had my hair treated through some process called
shoeshining where they basically dusted the top of my hair with what
I'm guessing is some type of bleach then put me under the hair warmer
machine in a salon.
I'm wondering if anyone knows how to do this at home? I have bleached
my hair in the past but never just the tips like this. I have only
done a full head bleaching..
Any pointers or links appreciated.
yeah, it's really easy. i learned how to do it while i was still in
school.
first, you have to make your hair stand on end. so either gel it real
good, or use a lot of hairspray. but all you want to bleach is the
ends.
after you get your hair to stand up straight, mix up some bleach (i
prefer Shades EQ Lightening Crystals or Colorgraphics, but you may
like something else), and paint it onto a piece of foil. then take
the foil and, bleach side down, "rub" it on the ends of your hair,
like you're shining a shoe. put a plastic cap over your head when you
get the desired amount of bleach on the hair, and sit under a dryer
for at least 15 minutes.
this process can also be done with colour, but you'd want to sit under
the dryer for more like 20 minutes.
